你好 nǐhǎo ! The students had their first Chinese lesson this week. They learnt about how Chinese New Year is celebrated and how the Lion Dance is performed. The students also had a turn playing the musical instruments that accompany the dance.
There will be exciting activities organised for all students to do in order to celebrate this special event on 8 February, next Monday. Please remind your child to wear red coloured clothes on the day as red is the symbolic colour of Chinese New Year. Here are some of the Chinese New Year celebrations around Melbourne this weekend.
